the music

Every recording published here belongs to xJAH. All rights are reserved. Paying for a download gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to keep that file and listen to it — nothing more, and nothing less.

What you may do

• Download the files you have paid for, and keep them.
• Copy them to your own devices — phone, laptop, studio machine, a backup drive.
• Listen to them privately, as much as you like, forever.

What needs asking first

• Using a recording in something you are making — a film, a game, a podcast, a video, an advert, a record of your own.
• Sampling, remixing, editing or building on a recording.
• Playing it publicly or in a business, which usually needs a license anyway.
• Passing the files on, uploading them, or sharing them onward in any form.
• Reselling them, or including them in anything you sell.

None of that is a no. It is a conversation — most of the time the answer is yes. Ask through the contact form and you will get a real reply.

What is not allowed at all

• Claiming the recordings are yours, or registering them with a content-identification system — streaming, radio, social platform or performing-rights — as if you owned them. That issues claims against the person who actually made them.
• Stripping the files of their metadata to obscure where they came from.

paying

Downloads are paid for. You choose the amount from the options offered, and whatever you choose buys the same files and the same license — paying more supports the next record rather than unlocking anything extra.

Payments are processed by Polar, and their terms apply to the transaction. xJAH never sees or stores your card details.

refunds

A download is delivered immediately, so by starting one you are asking for it to be supplied at once and you give up the short cancellation period the law would otherwise give you for digital content.

That is not the whole story, though. If a file is broken, incomplete, the wrong track, or the download never arrived, say so through the contact form and you will get a working file or your money back. If you were charged twice or charged in error, that gets refunded too. This is a small operation run by a person, not a returns department. Nothing here limits any refund right the law gives you.

everything that is not the music

The rest of the site is the operator’s as well: the name xJAH, the logo and wordmark, the design, the artwork, the code and the writing on the blog. Ask if you want to use any of it — the answer is often yes.

using the site

• Don’t attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the site or its storage.
• Don’t scrape it in a way that costs real bandwidth — ask, and what you need can be sent a cheaper way.
• Don’t try to reach the files without paying for them, or share a download link you were given.
• Don’t use the contact form for bulk or automated messages.

The site may change, move or be taken down at any time, and records may be added or withdrawn from sale. A file you have already paid for stays yours to keep either way.

no warranty, and the limits of liability

The music and the site are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss arising from using them — including anything that happens in a project you built with them.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights stand whatever this page says.

privacy

What the site records about a visit is set out in the privacy policy. In short: no accounts, no cookies for visitors, and no third-party tracking.

law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you deal with the site as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the rights your own country’s law gives you.
